<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charbonneau is a truly abandoned ghost town where no residents remain. The town seems to have been built on a rail line that has long since been removed. The two towering grain elevators that the rail once served still remain, and are by far the most striking structures that still stand. The Post Office was last used in the 1960s, but has since been removed and parts of it are in the Lewis and Clark Trail Museum in Alexander, ND.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are only two houses remaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school is a large one room building with dividers in the middle to split the space into two sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cemetery sits on top of a hill overlooking the town. The grounds appear to be maintained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
